Analysis of the Relationship Between University Attendance and Grades by Data Mining

It has been suggested that teachers at most universities have heavy workloads; hence, they may either not be able to provide sufficient education to each student or provide education based on incorrect policies. In recent years, the use of data mining technology for extracting useful knowledge and trends from large-scale data has attracted considerable attention. Therefore, we use data mining in this study to analyze student data, understand students' tendencies, and help teachers in educating their students. In particular, we analyze students' attendance at a university and its relationship with their grades by determining relevant student characteristics.
