Abstract
Supply chain management has garnered significant attention from scholars who have explored the feasibility of incorporating blockchain technology in this field. With that said, our present research endeavors to offer a thorough and extensive review of previous literature investigating blockchain use within supply chain management. Key terminologies like “blockchain” and “supply chain management” are defined entirely before discussing the vast range of benefits linked with leveraging this innovation in enterprise operations. Additionally, we employ a precise and methodical procedure when identifying and choosing applicable investigations for inclusion purposes ultimately culminating in a final selection made up of precisely 48 such inquiries. The review paper evaluates a set of studies critically, taking into account predefined criteria such as research design, data sources, theoretical framework, and findings. It identifies the main themes in the literature and highlights areas that require more empirical research. The report highlights the significance of addressing blockchain technology’s scalability and interoperability concerns while also acknowledging its potential to improve supply chain control and collaboration. The report also looks at how blockchain can be used at each level of the supply chain, including procurement, production, logistics, and customer service. The review paper offers actual instances of supply chain management applications of blockchain technology that have been successful.Overall, the systematic review study offers a thorough and meticulous overview of the body of research on supply chain management using blockchain. It offers informative data for more research and application in this field and might be a useful tool for anyone looking into the use of blockchain technology in supply chain management.
