Abstract

In Society 5.0, cybercrime is always growing. By identifying this and adopting proactive measures, we may move toward a time when technology empowers us without compromising our security and safety. A hyperconnected society with advanced technological integration is known as Society 5.0. The first generation to have lived exclusively in the digital era is Generation Z. With the rise of Society 5.0, it has become essential to understand how knowledgeable Generation Z (Gen-Z) is about cybercrimes. This study examines the factors affecting trust of Gen Z’s, within the context of Society 5.0, considering increase of cybercrimes. To determine these factors, a survey was conducted through a questionnaire. Regression analysis was done on the collected data, to know about the important variables affecting awareness of Gen-Zs in context of cybercrimes. The analysis found four such factors which are important to enhance trust of this generation for cyber activities.
