Abstract
Agile methodologies have become a cornerstone in information system development, offering faster time-to-market for systems and applications. This research systematically reviews how requirement engineering (RE) processes are conducted in Agile software development, examining both traditional methods and emerging tools. A systematic literature review was conducted, analyzing various academic sources to identify prevalent practices and tools in Agile RE, focusing on methodologies such as interviews and tools like ARAM, OOSA, and Mind Mapping. The key findings indicate a strong preference for interviews as a primary method in Agile RE and significant integration of tools like ARAM, OOSA, and Mind Mapping, which facilitate the RE process in Agile environments. The study highlights the evolving nature of RE in Agile software development, showcasing a blend of traditional and innovative approaches, and provides valuable insights for practitioners aiming to optimize RE processes within Agile frameworks.
