Ore-prospecting prognosis for lead-zinc deposits in west Hubei and west Hunan areas based on ETM + remote sensing

The lead-zinc deposits in west Hubei and west Hunan areas are important epithermal deposits of upper Yangtze block. The deposits are closely related to strata and structure in the area. Using the fused image by Landsat-7 ETM + data,the remote sensing interpretation of the strata and structure are carried out in the area,and the lead-zinc deposits in the north of west Hubei mainly distribute around the circular images. The leadzinc deposits in west Hunan distribute at the junction of linear images in the west of the circular image in the south part. The lead-zinc deposits at the intersection of the two provinces distribute in the area of green banded image. Based on above finding,the prognostic areas for the lead-zinc deposits are delineated combined with the regional geochemical anomalies of Pb and Zn.
