Abstract

For the out-building survey of low-voltage distribution network industry expansion, a material estimation method based on GIS was proposed. Traditional methods rely on manual visual assessment, resulting in low efficiency and inaccurate estimation. The new method records the trajectory coordinates by GIS equipment and clean the data, removing duplicate and noisy data to ensure data reliability. Then, the centroid algorithm is used to select key points from the filtered trajectory information, connecting these points in time order to obtain the optimized wiring path. Finally, based on the total length of the wiring, the required materials, including the number of electric poles, insulation devices, and cables, are calculated to achieve more precise resource allocation and cost control. Experimental comparisons show that the new method planned the wiring path with shorter length and less material demand, proving its advantage in improving efficiency and reducing costs.
