Abstract

Exploiting quantum effects to create applications that contain features that would be difficult or impossible to realize in the classical setting has always captured interests in both the theoretical and practical domains. In this work, we present novel quantum oblivious transfer schemes based on continuous-variable quantum mechanics that works in realistic noisy and lossy environments, without assuming the bounded storage model of the dishonest parties and with using only quantum coherent states. We discuss strategies to mitigate cheating by both parties. The scheme has the advantage of being forward secure and may readily be implemented with telecommunication components.
