Abstract

The relevance of the article is justified by the study of procrastination as a personal construct. The theoretical analysis of scientific works devoted to the study of passive (dysfunctional) and active (functional) types of procrastination is carried out. The criteria used by researchers as a basis for differentiation of procrastination on varieties are outlined. The essential differences in the display of cognitive, affective, motivational and behavioral dimensions of these forms of the concept under study are revealed. The consequences of different types of procrastination for the individual are characterized.
