The use of digital literacy to optimize remote learning

The implementation of this online learning in remote learning environments carried out at all levels of education units from elementary schools to universities. Thus, during this Covid-19 Pandemic, the learning activities are conducted virtually. The objective of this study is to analyze the use of digital literacy to optimize remote learning. It was descriptive qualitative study which was conducted in a private university in Semarang in two classes consisted of 64 students. The findings showed that the use of digital literacy in remote learning was effective to improve students’ understanding and motivation during this online learning. Further, the digital literacy helped them to engage with new information and technology in remote learning.
