Abstract

Blockchain technology is reshaping fundamental structures in many industries. Its decentralized, secure, and transparent characteristics make it perfect for industries where trust, security, and efficiency are crucial. Bringing blockchain technology into the education system could significantly enhance the efficiency, security, and reliability of educational processes. This paper proposes a system that uses blockchain and artificial intelligence (AI) to significantly enhance university operations by automating and securing key services such as student admissions, course registration, and academic record management. We describe a "Decentralized University" framework, leveraging blockchain-based decentralized applications (DApps) to deliver secure and efficient educational services. We present the design and implementation of a "Student Admission" DApp, which utilizes machine learning to automate document verification and record the corresponding transactions on the university blockchain. Integration with the InterPlanetary File System (IPFS) ensures secure storage of admission documents. Experimental results demonstrate the important advantages of this approach, emphasizing improved security, transparency, and efficiency in university processes.
