Abstract
The conditions for providing the volume water condensation under the boosting of the gas-vapor flow rate in a contact condenser are defined. The processes of the water vapor condensation onto the drops surface and their interaction with the aerosol in the saturated gas-vapor flow are considered. The results of changing of the drop size and its influence on the separation efficiency are obtained using the mathematic simulation. The drops diameter distribution is obtained according to the pressure and rate of the gas-vapor flow. The diameter of the drops which enter with the rate increase from 2 m/s to 4.5 m/s increases from 230 microns to 330 microns at the initial water pressure on the irrigators of 1 bar. Also the drop diameter reduces by 1.7 ... 1.8 times with the increase of the initial water pressure from 1 bar to 9 bar. The presence of the condensation process leads to the increase of the initial drop size by 1.28 times under the conditions of the contact condenser operation along the mist separator elements. The obtained results enable designing the mist separating elements of the contact condensers more accurately.
