Abstract

Traditional electrical interlocking control technology faces numerous challenges in its application to firefighting water supply systems, such as sensor signal delays, mismatched logic for pump start-stop with fire scenarios, excessive energy consumption, and increased equipment wear. These issues make it difficult to meet the high standards required by modern fire safety. To address these bottlenecks, this paper proposes an innovative solution that integrates multimodal perception technology with an edge computing dynamic optimization architecture. This significantly improves the system's response speed and operational efficiency while effectively reducing energy consumption and extending the lifespan of equipment. To verify its feasibility, this paper designs comparative experiments under simulated fire scenarios and conducts pilot applications in a high-rise building. The experimental results show that the proposed solution performs excellently in accelerating system response and reducing pump energy consumption, while also drastically lowering the false alarm rate. Additionally, this paper looks ahead to the future development direction of firefighting water supply systems and discusses collaborative optimization methods for integrating firefighting, water supply, and power grids within the context of smart city construction.
