Paper overview
Abstract
The hydrographic network of Azerbaijan is a complex system of rivers, lakes, reservoirs and other water bodies that plays a key role in the economy, ecology and life of the country's population.Azerbaijan's location at the junction of Eurasia and its diverse topography contribute to the formation of unique hydrological conditions that affect the distribution and availability of water resources.Despite the importance of water resources for sustainable development, in recent decades the country's hydrographic network has faced a few problems related to pollution, water scarcity and climate change.
