Abstract

The article is devoted to the use of AI technologies and services based on them in the education system. The impact of artificial intelligence can be assessed as negative, disrupting the education system, or positive, transforming its structure. The situation with the implementation of AI in education is characterized by high dynamics and variability of the process, reducing the objectivity of ideas about using AI in educational practice, as well as the irregularity, spontaneity, and uncontrollable nature of this process due to technological competence of participants in educational activities and access to digital tools for AI from different subjects and organizations. The study problem is related to identifying an accurate picture of the use of artificial intelligence in educational institutions at various levels. The article presents the results of a survey conducted among more than 300 students from different educational levels, more than 60 secondary school teachers, and teachers from secondary vocational and higher education institutions. The authors conclude that there is a trend towards alienation from the essence of AI technology; most respondents are familiar with well-known services under this name, such as voice assistants and smart speakers. The use of AI-based services for solving work and educational tasks is common, but their implementation in the educational process remains superficial. There is an evident positive attitude towards AI technologies among those involved in the education process.
