Abstract

This paper presents the implementation and evaluation of a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) for control systems on an embedded hardware platform, with a specific case study focusing on the Three Tank Control system. The service for the Three Tank Control System is implemented on a microcontroller.Subsequently, this service is integrated with other services running on a separate computing unit. The purpose of this study is to investigate whether executing SOA on embedded devices with limited resources is feasible.By examining the adaptability and potential benefits of SOA in the context of low-resource microcontrollers, this research extends the applicability of this architectural approach to a wide range of control applications.
