Abstract

This work proposes an ex ante approach to quantum coherence stabilization by shifting intervention from the qubit to its surrounding environment. The qubit is treated as structurally fixed, while the environment is considered the primary variable of admissibility. A deliberately limited and falsifiable hypothesis is examined: a pulsed, non-stationary environmental regime may influence effective decoherence dynamics by interrupting the temporal accumulation of bath correlations, without modifying the system Hamiltonian, control operators, or system–bath coupling. No claims are made regarding guaranteed improvement, scalability, or replacement of existing techniques. Within this framework, qubit error is interpreted as a faithful record of environmental disorder rather than intrinsic system failure. The objective is not to suppress noise through active control, but to structure the conditions under which environmental noise proceeds. An illustrative model based on bath correlation functions and time-modulated spectral densities is introduced, together with control conditions designed to isolate structural effects from energy injection artifacts. Before any intervention, a prior question must be addressed: can coherence proceed at all under the given environmental conditions? Where admissibility is assumed retrospectively, coherence becomes an outcome. Where admissibility is placed first, coherence becomes a condition. Even in the absence of measurable improvement, the framework yields a definitive structural answer about the role of environmental admissibility in coherence loss.
