Abstract

Abstract Due to the dynamic nature of the supply chain, unstructured decision challenges, rapid changes in customer demand, and the constantly changing state of the operational processes, it becomes essential to operate businesses efficiently in all operational activities in the supply chain. Significant operational supply chain applications of the Internet of Things (IoT), Blockchain, Machine Learning (ML), and Artificial Intelligence (AI) have arisen in recent years. This research work aims to present a scientometric aspect of the research on the use of the Internet of Things (IoT) and Blockchain in logistics and supply chain management. The study provides significant insights into IoT and Blockchain in Logistics and Supply chain management (SCM) by utilizing scientometric analysis. This study analyzed 797 articles published during the seventeen years (2008–2025) and indexed in the Scopus database. This study examined these 797 articles based on year, authors, number of citations, and country. Moreover, the most prominent authors, trends, journals, countries, and current Blockchain, IoT, and supply chain management collaborations are all examined in this study. Further, the pertinent literature was clustered using a keyword co-occurrence network. This paper also explores what has been done so far by researchers in the Internet of Things (IoT) and Blockchain in the field of logistics and supply chain management (SCM), as well as what more research is required for further investigation. This study aims to inform researchers about which article and author have contributed the most, what types of studies he/she has done over the past seventeen years, and what his/her future plans are.
