Abstract
Description / Abstract This package presents a comprehensive computational-linguistic analysis of the Torah (Pentateuch) as a structurally constrained morphological system. The analysis demonstrates that Biblical Hebrew's morphological architecture is governed by a restricted "control alphabet" of 10 letters (Control Set 10: א,מ,ת,נ,י,ה,ו + BKL: ב,כ,ל) that accounts for 99.79% of all morphological extensions (p ≤ 0.0003). **Algorithm v9** implements structural fallback rules discovered empirically, achieving Z = 150.49 (verse-level, window 50), a ×2.6 improvement over V1 baseline. Across 3,000 permutations, the empirical concentration score exceeds all randomized counterparts (0/3,000 exceedances). ### 55 Findings across 9 sections (§4.30–§4.40.9): **§4.30: AMTN Root System** — 57.6% compositional decomposition, Z=4.5–13.4 clustering, 96.6% YHW separation (99.3% with nikud). **§4.35–§4.39: Core Architecture** — 99.79% control alphabet dominance; 87.4% automatic semantic classification (91.0% with nikud); phonetic avoidance (1.76% same-class bigrams vs 14.96% random, 0/1000 shuffles); foundation vowel prediction (+1.3% gain). **§4.40.1–§4.40.7: Cross-Corpus Analysis** — Torah Z=150.49 vs Prophets Z≈28 vs Writings Z≈17 (5-9× dominance); narrative compression; multi-window consistency; 337-person genealogical memory tree spanning 28 generations. **§4.40.8: Letter-Flow Terrain** — 8/22 letters converge at Terumah (Z=5.48, p<0.001); Torah 8/22 vs Neviim 4/22 vs Ketuvim 4/22. **§4.40.9: Cross-Semitic Architecture** — ש→ת one-directional (14/14, p=1.22×10⁻⁴); 4-layer architecture universal across ALL Semitic branches; Aramaic Z=0.39 (NOT significant — proves text property, not language property); Torah 44.1 >> NT 28.8 >> Quran 17.0 >> Aramaic 0.39. **Combined Z ≈ 158. All p-values FDR-corrected (Benjamini-Hochberg).** This work is descriptive and statistical; "structurally constrained" is used descriptively only, without implying intentionality or divinity. All analyses are fully reproducible using publicly available vocalized Biblical text from Sefaria.org API. **Companion paper:** For analysis of divine names as morphological state indicators (23 additional findings, Combined Z ≈ 210), see Tuval (2026), "Divine Names as Morphological State Indicators in the Torah" (Zenodo, separate upload). --- ## Subject Areas- Computational Linguistics- Digital Humanities- Semitic Studies- Morphological Analysis- Statistical Linguistics
