Abstract

The Times Higher Education (THE) Rankings has become a vital tool for assessing university performance over five key indicators: Teaching, Research Environment, Research Quality, Industry, and International Outlook. This paper examines THE ranking methodology to understand the evaluation system and identify our university’s strengths and weaknesses. We analyzed the performance of the top 1500 universities and developed proposals to improve our university’s ranking based on the findings. By using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), A multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) approach, we evaluated these proposals to determine the best one, considering the THE indicators and other relevant criteria. The results demonstrate that combining the analysis of university rankings with the MCDM method can help institutions recognize their global situation and then make targeted improvements.
