Abstract
In the era of digitalisation, public information services are an important aspect in supporting transparency and accountability of government agencies. The Directorate General of Mineral and Coal still faces obstacles in delivering information, such as the limited number of face-to-face service employees and the absence of an efficient feedback system. Therefore, this research aims to develop an online consultation information system as a solution to improve service efficiency and flexibility. This system was built using the Waterfall software development method which consists of the stages of needs analysis, design, coding, and testing. System implementation is done by utilising the PHP programming language using the CodeIgniter framework and MySQL database. The superior feature developed in this system is real-time queue monitoring by businesses, which is a novelty from previous research. System testing was conducted through black box and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) approaches, involving employees and business representatives as end users. The test results show that the system is able to function according to user needs and is expected to be a solution in improving the quality of information services within the Directorate General of Mineral and Coal.
