Measuring Teacher Self-Efficacy and Careers Awareness in K-12 AI Education

Teachers serve an invaluable role in facilitating student understanding of AI and awareness of related careers. Our understanding of teacher self-efficacy and careers awareness in the context of the growing field of AI education is limited. We adapted two existing instruments intended to measure teacher self-efficacy and careers awareness. The instruments were piloted first before being administered to 63 teachers. Our results showed excellent internal reliability and construct validity when used with this wider teacher sample.
