Abstract

Intermittent sampling and repeating jamming is an effective jamming method against linear frequency modulation pulse radar, but it suffers from issues such as strong regularity in the distribution of false targets and lag of primary false targets. Based on the research on intermittent sampling and repeating jamming, this paper proposes an optimization method for intermittent sampling and repeating jamming using a discrete particle swarm optimization algorithm. By varying the number of retransmissions within each sampling period, the statistical characteristics of the jamming signal's pulse compression output are altered. Then, the discrete particle swarm optimization algorithm is used to determine the optimal number of retransmissions, thereby achieving a near-suppression effect. Simulation experiments verify the excellent jamming performance of the proposed algorithm. Compared with traditional swarm intelligence algorithms such as the ant colony algorithm, the jamming waveform generated by the proposed algorithm exhibits less regularity, stronger jamming suppression, and significantly improved jamming performance.
