Abstract
The development of Turbo codes has played a significant role in promoting coding theory and research methods. It is an efficient error correction coding technology with performance close to the Shannon limit. Due to its excellent performance under low signal-to-noise ratio conditions, Turbo code has excellent anti fading and anti-interference capabilities, making it the preferred encoding scheme for many communication standards. In the specific analysis, this article mainly focuses on the encoding and decoding structure of Turbo codes, the analysis of commonly used iterative decoding algorithms for Turbo codes, and comparative research. Finally, performance simulations were conducted to explore the effects of different decoding algorithms, iteration times, interleaving lengths, and other parameters on the performance of Turbo codes. Their performance was compared horizontally, and conclusions were drawn.
