Abstract

With the rapid development of mobile internet, the popularization of 5G, and the popularization of smartphone terminals, the coverage of Wi Fi is expanding, and the use of QR codes in outdoor advertising is also increasing. Especially in the prevention site and tracking of COVID-19. The detection and recognition of QR codes affect people's daily lives. In the process of using QR codes, the image is too dark, the camera shooting is not clear, and the QR code in the entire image is too small, which restricts the fast and accurate detection of QR codes. This article proposes a method for quickly recognizing and detecting two-dimensional codes using the histogram equalization YOLOv5 algorithm. Histogram equalization can improve the QR quality of images, and then use YOLO v5 for QR detection and recognition. The implementation shows that this method can effectively submit the accuracy and efficiency of QR code recognition, and improve people's experience in using QR codes.
