An Engineering Training Equipment Self-cognition Method Based on Mobile Phone Quick Response (QR) Codes

In recent years, with the characteristic of high capacity, low cost and high reliability, QR code has been a popular coding scheme on mobile devices. With the development of smart phones, networks covering the whole campus and the popularization of mobile data network, the QR code with a high recognition rate is being introduced into teaching for engineering training. Each equipment has its own QR code. By scanning the QR code, the information of the equipment, its operation procedures and safety instructions can be obtained. It can assist teachers to conduct teaching before classes, during classes, and after classes. The results of practical application indicates that teaching efficiency can be improved and teachers' burden can be lightened by making use of the innovative mobile QR code, which is worth of popularizing.
