The development of a digital educational environment is a key area in the modernization of the education system in the context of the digital transformation of the economy. The article discusses the economic aspects of implementing and operating digital platforms, services, and tools that support the educational process. It analyzes infrastructure costs, staff training, and support, as well as the benefits of increased efficiency, scalability, and adaptability of educational services. Attention is given to digitalization barriers, including institutional constraints, digital inequality, and skill shortages. The economic viability of transitioning to hybrid and digitally mediated learning models is substantiated.
