Abstract
Accessing of cloud storage by millions of users connected across high-speed network, is gaining popularity due to wide varieties of applications available to the users over the cloud servers. For this purpose, lots of files and folders containing files are uploaded daily over the cloud servers by the users or organization. The cloud services are provided by various service providers through private/public/hybrid clouds. Due to large storage of files inside the folders or individual files over the cloud servers, it is necessary to compress the size of the files and obviously reducing the size of the folders before uploading over the clouds which will save the storage space over the cloud servers. In the present work, a binary search technique is deployed to compress the size of files before uploading the files over the cloud servers and while it is accessed by same or another user, the original size of the files may be extracted within minimum time as well as through optimized path without losing the contents of the files. It has been validated through varieties of the files considered in the form of the text, doc and pdf. The computed results are stored in the form of tables and graph and performance of the present work is demonstrated with the previous work available in the literature.
