Internal and External Threats in Cyber Security and Methods for Their Prevention

The article considers internal and external approaches to cyber security in web systems. The object of research is cyber security approaches and techniques. Methods of research are based on analyzing statistical data and comparing existing approaches in the literature. There were reviewed the annual “Internet crime report” by the Federal Bureau of Investigation for 2020 year, “Results and Analysis” report by Verizon, and the report “Ransomware attackers down shift to ’Mid-Game’ hunting in Q3 2021” by Coveware, highlighted fields for research. Also, there were formulated internal rules for cyber security in companies with high-level sensitive information and defined main types of external cyber threats and ways for them to be avoided in the web-applications context.
