Paper overview
Öz
The paper presents a detailed study of the fact-checking process conducted based on literature review and interviews with fact-checking organizations. The latter allowed us to supplement the theoretical part of the study with experience and future expectations of fact-checkers. The added value of the paper is a comprehensive process for fact-checking with a list of potential IT tools that may fill in the identified gaps. Furthermore, one such tool is presented - the SocialScan app that was developed to support fact-checkers in quicker and more reliable identification of pieces of information for verification. The app can ease the work of fact-checkers and contribute to quicker identification of false information on the Internet.
