The operation independence education covered in the existing Self-Sufficiency company start-up preparation process is focused on a lecture-centered delivery method, so there was a limit to improving learners' immersion and actual management capabilities. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to develop an experiential board game as a participatory and practical learning method and apply it to the operation independence education of Self-Sufficiency work program and Self-Sufficiency companies. This board game was designed with an emphasis on inspiring learners' understanding of management activities and willingness to improve their operational self sufficiency for the operation of Self-Sufficiency work program and Self-Sufficiency companies. Data were collected through play tests and structured interviews for the developed board game. As a result of the analysis, 80% of the total participants answered that they had a new and higher sense of immersion in board game-based experience-oriented learning than conventional lecture-style education, and 65% answered that they were able to experience and understand the concept of management activities as in a real situation through games. In addition, visual feedback through the operating independence scoreboard acted as a positive factor that motivated 15% of participants to actually start a business. These results suggest that board games are teaching-learning tools that can improve the practicality of education for improving operating independence. In the future, it is expected to develop into a more sophisticated and effective educational tool through the advancement of the feedback function of board game components.
