In predictive maintenance, monitoring conditions and identifying faults play crucial roles in preventing unexpected failures of machinery and equipment, transient signals and harmonic signals are very common. When there are both harmonic signals and pulse signals in the signal, the traditional wavelet time-frequency analysis methods cannot obtain satisfactory results. Therefore, how to model and analyze the mechanism of harmonic signals and pulse signals at the same time is very important for the fault warning and maintenance of mechanical equipment, and it is also a hot spot and difficulty in the field of signal processing. In order to solve this problem, an adaptive wavelet transform(AWT) is proposed. This method can process pulse signals and harmonic signals at the same time, and produce good results. Numerical simulations and actual signal analysis assess the success of the suggested approach in achieving desired outcome..
