Paper overview
Öz
We analyze non-Markovian memory effects displayed by the quantum Brownian motion modelled as a quantum harmonic oscillator coupled to a bath consisting of harmonic oscillators. In particular, the evolution of fidelity, relative entropy and quantum entanglement (measured by negativity) is considered for a family of Gaussian states (one and two mode squeezed vacuum and three mode basset-hound states). It is shown how to enhance detection of memory effects by adding an additional (ancillary) mode such that only a single mode (a system) is subjected to the evolution. It is observed that even a small amount of squeezing allows detection of non-Markovian memory effects.
