Quest and Practice in Teaching Course of Introduction to Materials

In order to inspire freshmen's interest in the course of introduction to materials and improve their learning ability,positive explorations and attempts had been made in the course of introduction to materials from the aspects of case-based teaching,information retrieval and academic forum. The results showed that students' learning enthusiasm was stimulated and students' subjective initiative of learning was cultivated by trying the different teaching practice such as case-based teaching which shed some guidance and inspiration to students in learning courses of materials in the future.
