Role of Education in Meeting Challenges of Globalization

Education has always been conceived as a tool to promote national development as well as international understanding. At present times, we are witnessing vast changes the world over. Changes that have taken place recently all over the world have established that no nation can isolate itself completely from the rest of the world. Now it is a process of integrating science, education, technology, culture and governance. Globalization is a much talked about term today & we cannot deny the fact that it is a phenomenon that is greatly affecting society. Globalization is not a radical revolution that is going to completely transform education: its impact will be more on emphasis of certain trends. In this paper I will discuss about the role of education in present global scenario.
