This study investigated nursing college students' intravenous injection knowledge, performance confidence, performance ability, and educational satisfaction in blended learning-based intravenous injection skills training, which combined a virtual reality simulator with a mannequin arm model and confirmed the effects. The subjects of this study were 72 students enrolled in the 3rd year of the Department of Nursing, 36 in the experimental group and 36 in the control group. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 22.0 and were analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, 2-test, and t-test.The experimental group received blended learning-based intravenous injection skills training, while the control group received intravenous injection skills training using a mannequin arm.As a result of the study, the experimental group who received the blended-learning intravenous skills training had more significant performance confidence (t=-2.575,p=.013), performance ability (t=-2.575,p=.013), and educational satisfaction (t=-6.539,p<.001) than the control group.Still, the two groups had no significant difference in knowledge (t=0.263,p=.794).Therefore, it is necessary to conduct repeated studies that apply various educational effectiveness variables that can complement the limitations of clinical practice and replace clinical practice education even when new infectious diseases emerge and to develop virtual reality programs that can apply training in skills other than intravenous injection.
