Difficulties and Bewilderment of College English Teachers in ESP Teaching

With further reforming of college English in China,ESP becomes an important part of the course and most of college English teachers are facing career challenges. Based on the questionnaire conducted in 5 universities in western China and the semi-structured interview among 6 ESP teachers,this paper presented the willingness and the implied reasons of traditional college English teachers to give ESP classes,probed into the difficulties and bewilderment they faced in ESP teaching,and proposed some suggestions.
