Abstract

This case study addresses security attacks associated with SQL Injection, Cross-Site Scripting (XSS), and Email Phishing attacks on online platforms. The study focuses on a small beverage commercial web portal and fake Facebook pages as case examples. The objective is to enhance the operational resilience of these platforms by implementing input validation protocols and phishing detection plugins. The study aims to identify and analyze security vulnerabilities, develop strategies to minimize threats, integrate validation techniques and detection plugins, and proactively implement a secure environment. Moreover, this study relies on 18 references, including research publications from databases like IEEE and Google Scholar. The findings highlight the significance of understanding phishing attacks and keyloggers, the prevalence of web-based ordering systems, and the risks of SQL Injection and Cross-Site Scripting in web applications. Furthermore, the study emphasizes the need for comprehensive measures, including technological safeguards, user education, and transparent communication, to address these security concerns and foster a secure and trustworthy online environment.
