Abstract
The article presents the history of the unique dialogue of scientific psychology and the Orthodox spiritual tradition, which took place in the late 20s of the XX century; introduced a new source of information on the methods of analysis of volitional personality and about the system of psycho-pedagogical advice on the formation of the will and character of the young man, proposed by Russian psychologist V.A. Ekzemplyarsky with high moral and pedagogical potential for solving urgent problems of modern education and training of the Cossacks.
