Abstract

Tabletop gaming is a fun and social experience for families and friends. By incorporating educational tabletop games into the academic classroom, students are afforded more opportunities to engage and learn from one another. This chapter details my experience crafting inorganic chemistry tabletop games and touches on the implementation of these games in the classroom. I detail five of my inorganic chemistry tabletop games and discuss their advantages in the classroom. All games are available for download as a free print and play version or can be purchased at the author’s website. Additionally, the 18 Electron Rule game is available for free online play.
