Blockchain technology has emerged as a transformative solution in the healthcare sector, offering robust mechanisms to enhance data security and protect patient privacy. This paper explores the potential of blockchain to address critical challenges related to data management in healthcare, such as interoperability, data integrity, and unauthorized access. The study analyzes the applications of blockchain in various healthcare contexts, including electronic health records (EHRs), clinical trials, and supply chain management. Results indicate that blockchain technology can significantly improve data security through decentralized storage and cryptographic techniques, ensuring that patient information remains confidential and tamper proof. By leveraging smart contracts, blockchain can automate and streamline various healthcare processes, reducing administrative burdens and enhancing operational efficiency. However, the implementation of blockchain in healthcare is not without challenges, including technical complexities, regulatory concerns, and the need for standardized protocols to ensure interoperability among different systems. Additionally, the acceptance of blockchain technology by healthcare professionals and patients is crucial for successful integration. This research emphasizes the importance of developing comprehensive frameworks for integrating blockchain technology into healthcare systems to maximize its benefits while addressing these challenges. Ultimately, blockchain holds the promise to revolutionize the management of healthcare data, leading to improved patient outcomes and enhanced trust in healthcare systems.
